This recipe is divine. I first enjoyed it at a girls weekend up in Winter Park. It is now a family favorite and rare delicacy (I seldom make it)--but when I do, the fam goes bananas! Thanks Lori for the great recipe!
ingredients:
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk (don't substitute)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp coconut flavoring
directions:
1. In small/medium pot, melt together butter, sugar, buttermilk, and baking soda. Bring to a boil
2. Remove from heat and add coconut flavoring.
3. Let sit 30 minutes. It will be foamy at first.
Serve over pancakes, crepes, waffles, etc.
